Steps and precautions for connecting ignition coil and spark plug
Ignition coil and spark plug connection steps:
Preparations : Ensure that the vehicle is off and the negative battery terminal is disconnected. Prepare necessary tools, such as wrenches and screwdrivers.
Identify the ignition coil and its connections : The ignition coil is usually located on top of the engine, near the spark plug. Each ignition coil has a high voltage wire connected to the spark plug and one or two low voltage wires connected to the vehicle's electrical system.
Disconnect old connection : If replacing the ignition coil, disconnect the old ignition coil first. Gently remove the high voltage cable. Do not use too much force to avoid damage to the cable or plug. For low-pressure cables, use the appropriate tool to loosen the holding screws, then carefully unplug the cable.
Install the new ignition coil : Place the new ignition coil in the correct position and make sure it is securely secured to the engine. Use the screws provided to secure the ignition coil to ensure that it does not loosen due to vibration.
Connect the high voltage wire : Connect the high voltage wire to the new ignition coil, making sure the plug is fully inserted and secured.
Connect low-voltage cable : Connect the low-voltage cable to the corresponding terminal of the ignition coil. Secure the cable using screws.
Note when connecting:
Exercise caution during operation to avoid damaging the cable or plug.
Make sure all connections are secure to prevent loose or short circuits.
Avoid the risk of electric shock when operating, and ensure that the negative battery terminal is disconnected.
Use proper tools to avoid damage caused by improper tools.
